Crowhaven

The axe-toting wizard on the cover is an instant win, but what of the music within? Well, if you were one of the few Hearse riders that copped a decent buzz from the custom van rock of Ashbury back when I posted their stony Endless Skies album, you will probably really dig Crowhaven's one and only album, Emotional Adjustment. This obscure gem of dude-bro jams was released in 1986, which seems a bit late for this type of badassery, but Crowhaven were from Kentucky after all. What I find as ironic as the slogan on a hipster's trucker cap is if this was made today by dicks in tight jeans and bandanas, chickenshit assholes would be singing it's highest praises between sips on a PBR at Pop's. "Pffft, youhaven't heard Crowhaven? it's so much better than the last Witchcraft album, dude. Got any blow?"

It's a pretty ballsy statement of intent to name yr record 'emotional adjustment.' It makes me wanna listen while I wash my dirty denim after a night of pagan harvest rituals. It's also best to listen to this music while driving around in my old Dodge van, too.

Hey man I cant belive you posted this album. I have this on vinyl. One of these dudes lived pretty close to me when I was a kid and brung a stack of these into to sell at my dad's motocycle shop. I had just dug this album out a few years back and thought it was much better that I did when I was a kid. I dont think they eer got very popular, even in Kentucky and all these dudes went on to terriable cover bands. Thank for the Mp3's

Ashbury is by far my favorite Hearse post ever. I hope this has the same fuzzy jams and socially retarded lyrics about magical men.

Why do people feel the need to post that they had trouble downloading this?

I and many others who download stuff from here all the time never have problems.

Also how many times and how different spots did you try? Seriously, how much effort does that take?

I like to know if there is trouble with the posts, but I think some of these issues depend on what people are using to unzip

Man I had a lot more trouble with files when I was using WIN RAR, but not so much anymore. I think a lot of people just dont know what there doing half the time anyway. I have checked so many links that were supposed to be fucked but were fine. Now I rarely check them unless someone I know is haveing trouble.

Hi Aesop. Add me to the list of people who are having problems with track 9 (corrupt). I will try it again and see what happens. Have a good weekend regardless and thanks for posting all these obscure discs.

Hey, I think these guys were from Rolling Prarire, IN not Kentucky. Unless their were two dirt rock Crowhaven's operating at the same time. They had massive keg parties full of fighting rednecks in the early eighties.
keep up the good work.

Cover looks like the back of this:

Though Lord of the Rings imagery beats out Crowhaven by probably 15-20 years.

Wicked album. The art is from this Jimmy Cauty LOTR poster from 1976:

Strange, as the lead singer in this band,, I don't EVER remember anybody in it every being in a cover band before or after this album.
